“Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” And Netflix

“Who Wants To Be A Millionaire,” hosted by Emmy Award-winning host Meredith Vieira, and Netflix, the company that makes movie enjoyment easy, will join forces on Wednesday, June 25 in the Las Vegas, Nevada area to find contestants for the fourth installment of “Netflix Million Dollar Movie Week,” a specialty show which will feature movie-themed questions. Auditioners will also be given the opportunity to try out for a regular episode of the hit game show’s upcoming seventh season.

“Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” can be seen in Las Vegas, NV on Channel 13 (KTNV/ABC), weeknights at 7:30 P.M.

Contestant auditions will be held at the Cannery Casino & Hotel (2121 East Craig Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89030) on Wednesday, June 25 from 7:00 – 11:00 A.M. Auditions will take place in The Club, which is located in the Casino (next to the Buffet). The “Millionaire” audition line will form to the right of The Club entrance.

“Millionaire” is also looking for engaged couples who would like to appear as a team in the hot seat for “Wedding Week” with Brides.com. Contestants are also needed for “Famous Names Week,” a new specialty series that will showcase ordinary people who share their name with a famous person, “Halloween Week,” featuring Halloween enthusiasts wearing their best Halloween costumes in the “Millionaire” hot seat and “Three Generations,” a new family series that will for the first time, allow a three person team — grandparent, parent and child — in the hot seat (all three team members must audition for this series).

Auditions consist of a timed multiple-choice test and for those people who pass, a short interview with a “Millionaire” producer. Testing sessions will start at 7:00 A.M., with the last session beginning at 11:00 A.M. Those who pass the audition test(s) will be given a specific time to return in the afternoon (between 12:30 – 4:00 P.M.) for an interview with a “Millionaire” producer. Those interested in taking the audition test will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. Pre-registration is not required. Audition space is limited however, and will not be guaranteed to everyone who shows up. You must be at least 18 years old (except for the “Three Generations” series), a U.S. resident and meet all eligibility requirements to audition. Legendary Late-Night Host Jay Leno Performs Two Shows To Benefit Iowa Flood Victims

Emmy Award-winning comedian and television host Jay Leno will perform two special engagements at The Mirage Wednesday, June 25 and Friday, June 27 at 10 p.m. with proceeds going to The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation to assist the Iowa flood victims.

Bodies…The Exhibition Hosts Summertime Blood Drive

BODIES…The Exhibition and United Blood Services (UBS) have joined forces, once again, to bring another blood drive to the Tropicana Hotel and Casino on Sunday, June 29, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All donors will receive one free ticket to BODIES…The Exhibition and Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition as well as a choice of one ticket to Folies Bergere or Xtreme Magic starring Dirk Arthur. Complimentary refreshments will be provided by the Tropicana Hotel & Casino to all blood drive participants.

Previous blood drives at BODIES…The Exhibition have resulted in over 313 pints of blood and the potential to save approximately 939 lives. According to United Blood Services (UBS), over 300 pints of blood must be collected from donors each day to meet patient needs in Las Vegas alone.

· The national average for blood collection is 5%; Las Vegas’ average is 2.5%.

· United Blood Services is the only blood collection organization in Las Vegas and serves 24 hospitals in Southern Nevada, as well as California and Arizona.

After his stimulating win at the US Open, Tiger Woods has decided to have season-ending knee surgery. As this might be a disappointment for many golf fans, Tiger’s departure leaves the rest of the golf world with hope. Happy Birthday To Barry Manilow

Barry Manilow celebrated his birthday Tuesday night on stage in the Hilton Theater with a 25-foot-square cake wheeled out for the occasion. After the show, Manilow fans leaving the showroom were offered champagne in special Manilow birthday souvenir champagne flutes. Nugget Antiques to be Auctioned July 5-6 at John Ascuaga’s Nugget

Own a piece of Nugget history when John Ascuaga’s Nugget auctions a variety of property and family antique items July 5-6 in the Rose Ballroom.

The Nugget recently moved to a new warehouse. During the move, many old items that had been collecting over the years were revealed, thus creating the auction opportunity.
