Miracle Mile Shops Broadcasts CNN’s 2009 Presidential Inauguration
Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is set to air CNN’s coverage of Barack Obama’s Presidential Inauguration live on the center’s Strip-side video screen Tuesday, Jan. 20 beginning at 8 a.m. PST (11 a.m. EST). Complete with full sound, Miracle Mile Shops’ airing of CNN’s Presidential Inauguration coverage will be one of the world’s largest, taking place on a record breaking 130’ by 40’ LED video screen at the heart of Las Vegas Boulevard.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Celebrates White House Wednesday on Inauguration Day, Jan. 21

In honor of President Elect, Barack Obama, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino hosts a property-wide party to celebrate the beginning of Obama’s “A New Birth of Freedom” term on Wednesday, Jan. 21 from 7 – 9 p.m.

Being dubbed as “White House Wednesday,” everyone is invited to make a toast to the new beginning, regardless of which way guests voted. At the Hell’s Belles blackjack pit, guests can witness “Obama’s Mamas,” dealers and dancers geared up for the occasion by wearing red, white and blue. In honor of the 44th Presidential inauguration, world-renowned artist Peter Max has created an installation of 44 portraits of President Elect Barack Obama, which he will unveil on the CBS Early Show on Thursday, January 15. Four of the paintings will be unveiled locally at The Art of Peter Max Gallery on Friday, January 16, where they will remain on display in The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. The gallery is
located on the Terrace Level in the Phase III expansion.

Historic Presidential Inauguration To Be Carried Live
The Las Vegas Hilton will present President-elect Barack Obama’s historic inauguration on a 18’ X 32’ HDTV with state-of-the-art theater sound in the legendary Hilton Theater on Tuesday, January 20 at 8:30 a.m. (PST).  The public is invited to attend with free admission. Doors open at 8 a.m.

The theater is home to resident headliner Barry Manilow, as well as other major performers throughout the year. It was also the showroom where Elvis Presley performed.  

This will be the first presidential inauguration to be viewed in the Hilton Theater.
